Story

The OG Blend – A Timeless, Comforting Coffee

The "AKA Jeff" in the name is a tribute to our roots—our very first home was a garage on Jefferson Street in Jersey City. As passionate advocates of naturally processed coffees, The OG Blend has always included a natural component. In the early days, when people asked why our coffee tasted so different from their usual cup of joe, we had one answer:

"That’s because you’re drinking Jeff, not Joe."

Components

At Mod, the perfect traditional coffee profile is all about balance—the interplay between dark chocolate bitterness and fruity sweetness. Since many enjoy this profile with milk or cream, body and texture are just as important.

To achieve this bold yet smooth flavor, we combined:

✅ 50% Equation – Washed Community Lot, Colombia (for structure, balance, and a smooth chocolatey base)
✅ 50% Guji – Natural, Ethiopia (for jammy, dense, and punchy fruit-forward sweetness)
